Soccer, Friendly Match, Pick on 15.8.2006: Iceland v Spain
An international friendly match between Iceland v Spain. One look at it you would surely say take Spain. Why because Spain did really well in world cup. Spain are currently ranked 7 while Iceland is 107 and that 100 placed apart. Not only that Iceland itself although there are quite a few star players like Heiðar Helguson & Eiður Smári Guðjohnsen, they are quite bad as a team thier last match was against Trinidad which they lost 2-0.
Eiður Smári Guðjohnsen thier captain would be out of the match because of injury and this would be a really great blow to the Icelandics. For Spain, FC Barcelona captain Carles Puyol and playmaker Xavi Hernández will miss Spain's game in Iceland on Tuesday because of minor knocks sustained on their club's tour of the United States. The new name in Spain squad is Celta Vigo's Borja Oubina while, of the 23 men who went to the World Cup, only Marcos Senna and Santiago Canizares were omitted. The following player would be gonig to Iceland.
Goalkeepers: Iker Casillas, Pepe Reina
Defenders: Antonio Lopez, Pablo Ibanez, Juanito, Mariano Pernia, Michel Salgado, Sergio Ramos, Carlos Marchena
Midfielders: Cesc Fabregas, Jose Antonio Reyes, Andres Iniesta, Joaquin, Luis Garcia, Xabi Alonso, David Albelda, Borja Oubina
Forwards: Fernando Torres, Raul, David Villa
Spain brought a fairly strong squad to Iceland and I think they can win this match easily with 2 and more goals. So i would go for the - 1.25 AH.
